race in comedy

The topic of racial comedy has been on my mind.

Do you think comedians exploit race too much in their stand-up comedy acts? Are you offended by the amount of racism in today’s world of comedy? Could jokes about race actually be helpful in making people more comfortable with one another?

These are just some of the questions I am pondering as I plan my response to race in comedy.

  2. some people do it well, but some don’t – it is a venue to get conversations going anyway, playing a fine line depending on your audience.
